Stripes and other patterns

Here are some photos I took recently for Her Citi.

It seemed fitting to wear this nautical stripy cardie beside the sea.

The faint stripes add a delicate pattern
to this 60s style orange and gold shift dress.

In contrast to the brighter stripes,
I like the subdued tones of this floral print...

... and the deep navy colour of this top, with a lace panelled back.

Outfits:
Navy and white stripe cardie, orange dress,
floral dress, navy lace top, (all from Her Citi) jeans, pumps.

Accessories:
Handmade braided bracelet, watch.

Blustery weather

I think this photo sums up the sort of weather we have had this summer.

I really liked the silhouette of this black outfit
against the crashing waves on the promenade.

What I loved even more was the distressed,
textured backdrop of this hut by the harbour.

The elegant cloche hat matches this
60s style jacket that I made wonderfully,
despite the pieces being based on two different eras.

Outfit:
Black jacket, striped top, jeans, pumps.

Accessories:
Black cloche hat.

Summer favourites

This outfit,
which I photographed a few months ago,
combines some of my favourite summer pieces.

This pink cord jacket comes out of my wardrobe every year,
as soon as it is possible to stop wearing waterproofs.

A striped T-shirt is a great staple all year round,
but this blue and white one
always reminds me of sunny days.

These floral jeans are another perennial favourite,
as the soft, muted colours make them perfect
for all sorts of occasions.

Outfit:
Pink cord jacket, striped T-shirt, floral jeans, navy pumps.

Accessories:
Blue and brown belt, flower brooch.

Spring greens

Here are some more photos from early spring.

I wanted to celebrate the appearance of spring buds
with these images.

I love the fabric of this hand-stitched silk printed dress
that I found in a vintage shop.

With thick tights, pumps and a belt it was a wonderful outfit
for the slowly warming weather.

Outfit:
Green silk dress, navy ribbed tights, black pumps.

Accessories:
Black belt, green shell bracelet,
rose ring, flower hair clip.

The Meal

Looking through photos from spring,
I found my submission to 'The Art House Co-op's'
'The Meal' Project.

The aim of the project was to capture what people all over the world
were eating at one point in time - in the UK it was 5pm,
so I had a late afternoon tea.

I love the beautiful roses n this blouse/jumper -
very quintessentially english.

Outfit:
Rose jumper, red t-shirt, jeans.

Accessories:
Chunky flower necklace, rose ring.

Climbing in cashmere

It may seem like an unlikely item to wear when going for a ramble...

...but this second-hand cashmere jumper from my grandma
made a great outfit for relaxing when worn with jeans.

A walk among woods beside winding country lanes
uncovered these amazing locations for photoshoots.

I love the way these mossy roots have twisted
and grown over massive boulders.

Simple yet bold jewellery completes this laid-back ensemble.

Outfit:
Blue jumper, jeans, blue wellies.

Accessories:
Emerald necklace and ring, vintage red belt,
silver watch, woven bracelets.

A change in the weather

The arrival of snow
brought a perfect photoshoot opportunity.

A gorgeous vintage fur coat was just the thing to keep warm.

The clear blue sky and bright sunshine
gave a lovely edge to the photos.

And a purple faux fur hat finishes off the outfit.

Outfit:
Vintage fur coat, fair-aisle jumper, khaki trousers, wellies.

Accessories:
Sunglasses, faux fur hat.
